

Kazuo Hashimoto, 85 passed away from complications from surgery on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Maryland. Born in Puente, CA he had been married for 7 years to Reiko Kobayashi Nelson and the late Marjorie T. Hashimoto for 49 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Takeo and Satsuko Hashimoto. He was a graduate of Bridgeton High School, Bridgeton, NJ and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After trade school, he worked as a Poultry Technician for American Chick Sexing Association of Fayetteville, NC for 48 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Karen M. Cruz of Vallejo, CA and Sharon R. Freedman of Hebron, MD; two grandchildren, Candace Torrey of San Diego, CA, and James Torrey of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Isamu Hashimoto of Elmer, NJ, four sisters, Toshie Harada of Hillsdale, NJ, Reiko Yamasaki of Bridgeton, NJ, Jane Nakao of Millville, NJ, and Marilyn Hashimoto of Vineland, NJ; and numerous stepchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
