

Margaret T. “Peggy” Kinnamon of Salisbury, Md. passed away March 30, 2023 at Wicomico Nursing Home. Born January 20, 1930 in Cambridge, Md., she was a daughter of the late S. James and Beulah Pritchett Tyler.
After graduating from Cambridge High School in 1947, she met and married the late Kenneth W. Kinnamon on October 3, 1948. Together they moved to Salisbury in November 1953 after which she worked as secretary to the division manager of Delmarva Power. She also worked at the Fashion Shop, Elton Groton’s Auto Sales, Management and Systems, as a house painter, and homemaker to her 3 children. She eventually retired at age 75.
Peggy was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church, served as church secretary, was the first woman appointed to the board of trustees, was vice-president and president of the United Methodist Women, helped organize the afternoon Daisy Chain Circle and sang in the choir for more than 20 years.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, known affectionately to all as simply “Mom-Mom”. Peggy was an avid card player, bowler, and taxi for any family or friends who needed her help. She also enjoyed yard work and all types of needlework and crafts.
She is survived by her two sons, Kirk (Tammy) Kinnamon and Kevin (Mary) Kinnamon; son-in-law, Ralph (Sharon) Lynch; grandsons, Kyle, Ryan, Kristopher Lynch, Brad, and Matthew Kinnamon; grand-daughters, Robyn Martin and Kara Kinnamon; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Gregory, Zachary, Henry, Gavin, Logan, Ian, Zoe, Juniper, Alistair, Bodhi, Jordyn, and a soon to be born great grandson; a great, great, grand-daughter Savannah; a sister, Becky Willey of Cambridge, Md; a special “daughter”, Debbie Carlisle Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 1994, a daughter, Karen in 2006, a brother, Robert Tyler, and sisters, Mildred Bradshaw, Alice Bell, Louise Slacum and Francis Aaron.
A private family service was held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery – Eastern Shore in Hurlock where she was interred with her husband. A memorial service at Christ U.M.Church will be held at a later date.
