She loved going to the beach and camping and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she was a long-time member of the choir and was a supporter of many charities. Mrs. Parks worked for Evans builders for over 20 years.
She is survived by her two sons, Peter J. Parks and Patrick M. Parks and his wife Athina Parks; daughter-in-law, Helene Parks Richardson; numerous grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Carroll Parks in 1995 and son, Joseph “Michael” Parks; sister, Paulette Cyr and brother, Michael Mowery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 1pm at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Riverside Dr. in Salisbury where interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held Friday from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Parks to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
