Susan “Susi” Estelle Todd, 74, of Willards, MD, transitioned to Heaven peacefully Friday, March 10, 2023, at home after a long year of medical complications related to cancer. Born September 9, 1948, and raised in Princess Anne, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Scarborough and Ruby Lee Jester.
Susi loved going to the beach, car rides with her dogs, gardening and shopping. She was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church and loved Jesus. In her last days she said, “I don’t know how anyone survives without Jesus!” Her heart for people was evident throughout her life as she touched so many; whether in her work as a caretaker or helping people on their recovery journey.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lee Todd and beloved dog, Ruby Lee; daughter, Nora Sue Powell (Greg); son, Ollie Charles Powell, III (Candice); stepdaughters, Andrea Lea Marine (Matt), Jessica Taylor (Joel), grandchildren: Bailey Olivia Taylor, Owen Charles Powell, Lilea Claire Taylor, Kaden Todd Marine, Mason Shawn Marine and her niece, Jenny Bobb. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Bobb and many faithful four-legged fur babies.
A private service with family and friends will be held this summer. We will memorialize and celebrate her life in Ocean City by spreading her ashes over the jetty into the ocean.
In lieu of flowers, Susi requested donations be made in her memory to the Wicomico County Humane Society, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
