Amelia Moreno

Amelia Garcia Moreno entered eternal peace on September 5, 2012. Our beloved mother, 98, passed away peacefully at home. She was born on May 24, 1914 to her late parents, Carlos and Herminia Garcia. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Florencio G. Moreno and children Florencio G. Moreno Jr. (Ruby), Gilbert Moreno, Lala Polanco, Consuelo Martinez, sisters; Dolores Garcia, Maria Gaona, Dora Moreno, and brothers Abel Garcia, Bernardo Garcia and Jesus Garcia. Amelia is survived by her brothers Joe Garcia and Manuel Garcia, Children; Rudy Moerno, Herminia Gatica, Oralia Nandin (Albert), Rosemary Arzola (Rogelio), Gloria Lumbert, Eddie Moreno (Aurora), Ernest Moreno (Michelle) and Fernando Moreno (Lucy). She also leaves behind 43 Grandchildren, 117 Great Grandchildren, 88 Great-Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren. Our beloved mother was a humble, kind hearted, loving, and giving person. She was an active member of the Guadalupanas at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers from 1:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 9:30am to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial; Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
