Anna was born on April 12, 1928 in San Antonio Texas to John and Guadalupe (Guillen) Tighe. Raised by her maternal grandmother, she graduated from San Antonio Vocational and Technical High School. She married Umberto Ramones on December 28, 1957. She supported her spouse in his military career and together, they started a family with the birth of a daughter, Bertha. Anna always felt lucky and blessed to have found such a loving partner and generous family that considered her one of their own. After her husband’s passing in 1968, she raised her daughter and continued to feel the love and support of all the Ramones family as well as the love of her siblings, Joseph and Theresa and their families.
Anna worked as a cosmetologist for many years and then worked at Kelly Scherrer Flowers until she retired. She continued to nurture her love for plants and flowers by spending time gardening.
She was independent, kind, and compassionate. Anna truly enjoyed talking to and getting to know people. She loved and appreciated all types of needlework.
She had a tremendous love for her God, her family, her neighbors, her friends, and her companion poochies, Willamina and Carmela.
She completed her tasks on earth on November 14, 2021 at the age of 93.
A visitation for Anna will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 7:00 PM.
