

Anthony is survived by his son, Anthony Kwan Jr., and his wife Heidi, and their children Gabrielle Augustine Kwan, Vasco Gomes, Marta Kwan, and Helenna Gomes; and by his daughter Barbra Kwan-Bloomingdale, her husband Jimm, and their children Benjamin and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his nephew John Michael Zadeh, his wife Janet, and their children Genevie, Joseph, and Gilliana.
He was preceded in passing by his wife Linda, his parents, Jimmy and Martha Kwan, and by his older sister, Martha Jane “Patsy” Kwan.
A proud veteran of the US Air Force, Anthony carried with him a spirit of adventure, curiosity and courage throughout his life. He attended Little Flower Catholic School and Central Catholic High School where he was a member of the Chaminade Guard. He graduated from Texas A&M University and was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He served his country for 20 years earning his navigator wings and serving as an electronic warfare officer on the B52 bomber, and later a civil engineer, achieving the rank of major. He received his Master's Degree from the US Air Force Technical School, and was the proud owner and CEO of Anthony Kwan Engineering Associates. He traveled to every continent except Antarctica and visited all 50 states, collecting memories and stories along the way. Among his favorite places were Paris, France; Hawaii; the Virgin Islands; and his cherished home state of Florida.
Anthony loved science fiction, especially Star Wars and Star Trek, which fueled his sense of wonder and imagination. He was a regular attendee at scifi conventions around the country, and enjoyed cosplaying with his son and their friends.
He was a parishoner of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and attended a Men's ACTS Retreat. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, located at 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, on December 4, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will take place at the same venue on December 4, 2025, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral mass will be conducted at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, situated at 4201 De Zavala Rd, San Antonio, TX 78249, on December 5, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
