Arturo Gutierrez

Born in San Antonio, he was the son of Antonio and Ana Gutierrez. He attended Fox Tech high school and then served in the Navy during WWII. He was a business man; he owned multiple commercial and residential properties as well as owned and operated a grocery store and a laundromat.

He is survived by his sons Alfredo G. Gutierrez (Blanca Gutierrez), Ernesto G. Gutierrez (Susan S. Gutierrez), his 7 grandchildren, 9 great children, and his 6 grand puppies. He is predeceased by his Wife Ana T. Gutierrez, his son Arturo G. Gutierrez, and grandson Phillip Jacob Gutierrez.

His family will remember his jokes, his love for family poker night, casino trips, unsolicited advice, the inappropriate amount of candy he provided to all his great children and last of all his love for movies.

A visitation for Arturo will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Friday, November 18, 2022 for a funeral mass at 10:30 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S San Augustine, San Antonio, TX 78237. Burial will follow at San Fernando #2 Cemetery, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.
