Bertha C. Hernandez

Bertha C. Hernandez, 87, went to be with her Lord on February 26, 2018. She was born July 4, 1930 in San Antonio, TX to Frank S. Chavez and Petra V. Molina. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Pablo, Francisco, and Alfonso Chavez; sister: Hortencia Flores; and Grandsons: Richard, Joshua, and Matthew Hernandez. She is survived by her children: Ruben Hernandez (Margaret), Gloria A. Suniga (Savino), Ronald T. Hernandez, Frank Hernandez, Rosa Linda Soria (Carlos), John Michael Hernandez (Martha), Alfred Hernandez (Sophia); brother: Alfredo Chavez (Gloria); 21 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Roy Akers Funeral Home 515 N. Main Ave. from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m, with the service at 7:00 p.m.. On Tuesday, March 6, 2018 the Funeral Procession will depart the Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service at San Fernando II. Our Special thanks to Dr.’s Eva Mason, Lijuan Tong and Daniel Hyun under whose diligent care provided the family with extended quality years with our mother, as well as to Miriam and Jeimy from Companion Hospice, and her caregiver Guadalupe Cantu.
