Betty M. Santiago

Our beloved Betty M. Santiago, born April 3, 1928, entered eternal rest on March 29, 2014 due to complications of Alzheimer’s. She was a retiree from Bank of America after 23 faithful years. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Josefina Guerra; sisters, Aurora Varela, Oralia Castillo, Guadalupe Gonzales, Berta Brito; brothers, Alfredo Moreno, Arturo Moreno, Jose “Chino” Martin. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jesse; daughters, Margaret Ann Castillo, Annette Santiago; sisters, Marina Pedraza, Dora Sandoval; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive guests Thursday, at 5:00 p.m., April 3, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Friday, April 4, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. to celebrate a 9:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
