

Corrine Yvonne Bragg, 85, of San Antonio, passed away March 16, 2016. She was born Corrine Yvonne Callaway on February 15, 1931, in Alma, OK, to the late Charles Frederick Callaway and Lillie Mae Calhoun Callaway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Philip E. Bragg; sister, Laquita Hackett; brother, Kenneth Callaway. Yvonne is survived by sister, Gayle Akers and husband Jerry of Gonzales, TX; brother, David Callaway, Cibolo, TX; daughters Belinda Graham, Pleasanton, TX and Pamela Sizer, San Antonio, TX; son, Bryant Bragg and his wife, Maria Bragg of Oak Harbor, WA; as well as 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was active in the Women’s Mission Union and Girls’ Auxiliary for many years. Yvonne was a member of First Baptist Church of San Antonio at the time of her death. Yvonne was known and loved by many as “Grammer.” She worked as an LVN at Baptist Memorial Hospital for 16 years. She was also active with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, often volunteering as the camp nurse. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 Main St., from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be Thursday, March 24, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. with an early viewing 1 hour prior. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery where she will rest beside her husband Philip Bragg.
