Daniel G. Ocanas

Daniel G. Ocaῆas entered into eternal rest on January 31, 2016 at the age of 93. John 2:25:Yo soy la resurreccion la vida. El que cree en mi vivira, aunque muera. Born in Alamo, Texas to Fernando and Virginia Ocaῆas on December 21, 1922, he now reunites with his parents; wife,Hortensia Ocaῆas; son, Daniel C. Ocaῆas; daughter in law, Neomi G. Ocaῆas; and brothers, Elias and Abel Ocaῆas. He is survived by his children, Yolanda (Jesse) Arguello, and Jose Jaime (Sybil) Ocaῆas; grandchildren: Angelica, Ariel, Isabel, Jesse, Mike, David, Robert, Alex, Rene, JJ, James, John, Louis; siblings: Alicia, Maria, Ruben; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. After his retirement of over 30 years with the San Antonio Zoo, Daniel kept himself busy with maintaining his garden, fresh vegetables, citrus trees, and collecting pecans. He will forever live in the hearts of his loved ones. The family will be receiving guests at the Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers,515 N.Main Ave., on Thursday, February 4,2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Services will continue on Friday, February 5,2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with a 9:30 a.m.Mass of Resurrection. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
