She was a Providence High School graduate, and earned B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Incarnate Word University. Debbie was the ideal product of a Catholic education, devoting her life to spreading the “Good News” though example and service in her parish, St Ann Catholic Church where she taught classes and helped prepare young parishioners for the sacrament of Confirmation, and helped with the annual Childrens’ Christmas Pageant. She served as lector and Eucharistic Minister as well. Her last position was as Director of Youth Activities for St. Ann. She served her neighborhood though the Beacon Hill Home Owners Association- at various times serving as president, vice president and treasurer. She frequently responded when she heard a call for volunteers throughout the community. She will be dearly missed by her family: Isabel Huerta, Dolores Huerta, Juan and Maria Huerta, Juan Carlos, Rebecca, Isabela and God-Daughter, Susana Huerta, Marcos Huerta, Marisa Huerta and Dan Valentine, Joseph, Anthony and Cynthia Perez, Virginia and Epifanio Granado and many friends to whom she endeared herself though her work and ministries.
