

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Edward Castillo and Amelia Gonzales Castillo. He is survived by his brother, Richard Allan Castillo; niece, Madeline Rose Castillo; nephew, Dominic Anthony Castillo; former wife, Marissa Illeana Molina; and stepdaughter, Illeana E. Molina.
Ed graduated from Central Catholic High School where he proudly served as Commander of the Chaminade Guard Drill Team. He graduated from Saint Mary’s University where he served on their Board of Directors and chaired the chicken fajita booth at Oyster Bake for many years. He then joined the State Farm family first as an employee, and then as a State Farm Insurance Select Agent.
A man of many passions, Ed, In in his youth competed as an amateur body builder, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and staying physically active. He was a devoted sports enthusiast and a true cigar aficionado, often sharing his knowledge and passion with friends and family. Ed also was a man of faith and an ACTS retreatant.
Ed's vibrant personality, love for life, and loyalty to those he cared about will be remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by a Church Service, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Dr., San Antonio, TX 78228.
Any flower arrangements can be delivered directly to St. Paul Catholic Church, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on the morning of service, May 14, 2025.
