Edward O. Rodarte

Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 at the age of 63.

Edward was born on February 14th, 1954 to Mrs. Theodora Rodarte and the late Mr.

Salvador Rodarte in San Antonio. He spent his childhood in both Texas and in Reno,

Nevada when his father moved there for work. He returned to San Antonio where he

graduated from Fox Tech in 1972; and met his loving wife of 42 years Lucille (Guzman)

Rodarte. They were married June 21st, 1975. They had a daughter Jennifer Ann of whom

they are very proud.

Edward enjoyed 14 years as the Receiving Manager for La Fiesta Supermarket where he

turned friendships into family; including all the venders whom he befriended throughout

the years.

Edward was a devoted family man who loved his wife and daughter with all of his heart.

He loved to travel with his family. He was fortunate to have traveled to many places

around the world. He also loved live music and sports, especially the Spurs and the

Cowboys. Most of all, Edward enjoyed spending his time with his family and loved ones.

Edward is preceded in death by his father, Salvador Rodarte; and parents-in-law, Hermilo

and Juanita Guzman. He is survived by his loving wife Lucille (Guzman) Rodarte; his

daughter, Jennifer Ann; son-in-law, Jamey Waltermyer; mother, Theodora Rodarte; sister,

Nora Sanchez. He is lovingly remembered by Dolores Salazar, Mr. and Mrs; Antonio and

Irma Flores, Mr. and Mrs. Pedro and Yolanda Garcia, Mr. and Mrs. Hermilo Jr. and Mary

Guzman, Mr. and Mrs. Antonio and Camelia Lopez; and numerous nieces, nephews and

cousins.

Services for Edward will begin with a Visitation at 5:00pm at Roy Akers with a Rosary at

7:00pm on Wednesday, May 24th, 2017.

of Arc Catholic Church.
