Elena G Barrera

Maria Elena G. Barrera was born on August 29th, 1937 in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico, and passed away peacefully on March 27th, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her sons Juan C. Barrera and wife Bee and Ramon G. Barrera, her grandchildren Janet, Rosalie, Josh, Martina, and Barron, her great-grandchildren Lola and Atticus, her brothers and sisters Manuel García Camacho, Rogelio García Camacho, Guadalupe García Camacho, and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Juan G. Barrera, her parents Guadalupe Garcia and Teodosia Camacho, her brothers and sisters Rosa García Camacho, Leonor García Camacho, Jose Luis García Camacho, and her brothers- and sisters-in-laws Agapito Barrera, Jesusa B. Aleman, Maria Barrera, Vicenta Salazar, Lucia Zepeda.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Roy Akers Funeral home with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral procession will depart at 11:30 AM on Tuesday April 17, 2018 for a 12:00 PM mass of the resurrection at Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, 4410 S. Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78214, with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston Nation Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
