Ernestina Valadez Garcia

Ernestina Garcia, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, entered into rest on June 4, 2011 at the age of 92. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 15, 1918, to parents Antonio Valadez & Maria de Jesus Garcia. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Ernestina was preceded in death by her parents, her son Charles Ortiz and her daughter Isabel Garza. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Garcia; daughters, Irma Macon and husband Ron, Olivia Alejandro and husband Anthony; sisters, Olivia Canales and Alicia Fleming; daughter-in-law Evelyn Ortiz; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2011 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou, San Antonio, Texas.
