Ernestina Morales

She was born on August 15th, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Joaquin Morales & Carmen (Romero) Morales. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gilbert Morales.

Ernestina is survived by her sons Joaquin Morales & Xavior Morales, sister Carmen M. Gonzales, nephews Mark Gonzales (Sandra) and Joaquin Gonzales, nieces Sylvia Vega, Desiree Banks and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Ernestina worked at Loper Mortgage Company as assistant vice president and then at KD Homes company for many years before retiring. She also worked for the Vogue Company in San Antonio in her younger years as a model. Ernestina graduated from Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1955.

Ernestina had a zest for life and traveled to many beautiful places. She lived life enjoying friends, music, food & dance, but most of all she loved her sons and family, celebrating and creating beautiful memories with them. She enjoyed visiting our extended family in Monterrey, Mexico. She loved gardening and the beauty of flowers and birds in her yard. She loved her dogs Minnie and Shadow and Baby and her precious cats especially Daisy. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 11th, 2021 from 5:00 – 9:00pm with a Rosary recited at 7:00pm at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 North Main Ave. San Antonio, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Dr. San Antonio, Texas. A reception will follow after the mass in celebration of her life with family and friends.
