Florinda C. Zambrano

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Florinda C. Zambrano, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the age of 76. She was born on December 5, 1934 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. An incredible woman of faith, she dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe Zambrano, Jr. and her parents, Juan and Romana Castaneda. She is survived by her children: daughter, Pamela Ann Rodriguez; son-in-law James P. Rodriguez; grandchildren, Christina Nichole Zambrano and Aaron Joe Rodriguez; siblings Alvaro (Menira) Castaneda, Nico (Arturo) Juarez, Juan (Dora) Castaneda and Luis (Nelly) Castaneda. Her family finds peace in the knowledge that Florinda is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
