Fred C. De La Fuente, beloved brother, uncle and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 11, 2013, at the age of 80. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to parents Saul and Celia De La Fuente on December 27, 1932. Fred will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe De La Fuente and Richard De La Fuente; and sister, Virginia Oviedo. Fred is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Pena; nieces, Susan Hernandez (Claudio) and Rose Ann Garcia (Abelardo); and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower Street.
