Hector Luis Cordero, age 53, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 4th, 2022. Hector was born March 28th, 1969 to Maria S. Sanchez and was then raised by Bonifacio and Maria S. Sanchez in El Paso, Texas. He was married to Juanita Rodriguez Cordero for 21 years.
Hector graduated from Bowie High School '87 and received his Bachelor's & Master's Degrees
from the University of Texas at El Paso, Texas.
Hector was a family man, who loved to BBQ at family cookouts, enjoyed music, and watching his favorite movies in his down time. Hector also enjoyed supporting local, unique artists,frequently attending their shows. He was an avid fan of the Bowie Bears, San Francisco 49'ers and the San Antonio Spurs
He took great pride in his services to the United States Navy, and was incredibly patriotic.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Juanita Rodriguez Cordero, siblings; Saul Sanchez and Saydel S. Espinoza (Kevin) his mother Maria S. Sanchez, nephew Ryan Cruz, "The Crew".... Tara-Lyn Sosa, Azanette M. Flores (Richard), Anthony Sosa, Aidan Sosa, Zayd Flores and Mia Sosa, brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Irma) Rodriguez, Rodney (Kathy) Rodriguez, Linda R. Puente, Robert Rodriguez, Roland "Pando" Rodriguez, Roberta "Birdie" Molina, and numerous nephews, nieces, friends, and great nephew/nieces. Extended family in Chihuahua, Mexico.
A visitation for Hector will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11:15 AM for a funeral mass on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 12:00 PM at St. Margaret Mary, 1314 Fair Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78223. A committal service will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209.
