Ing. Juan Briseño Cerda

Nació en Anáhuac, Nuevo León, México, el día 6 de junio de 1938;

Hijo de Jesús Cerda Ortega y Seberiana Briseño Garnica;

fue el segundo de 3 hermanos: Alicia Cerda Briseno (finada) y Jesús Cerda Briseno.

Desde pequeño, siempre trabajó para ayudar a los demás.

Realizó sus estudios básicos en Rodriguez, Anahuac, Nuevo Leon, primaria y Secundaria en el Internado de Durango. Posteriormente, se trasladó a la Ciudad de México para iniciar sus estudios medio superior y superior en el Instituto Politécnico Nacional, donde se graduó como Ingeniero Civil con especialidad en Ingeniería Sanitaria.

Durante su trayectoria profesional, llevó a cabo abundantes obras en favor de la sociedad en todo Mexico, obras en zonas metropolitanas como Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Toluca, en zonas urbanas y rurales en los estados de Chihuahua, Estado de Mexico, Jalisco, Zacatecas, Durango, Coahuila, Sinaloa, Nayarit, San Luis Potosi, Oaxaca, Aguascalientes, etc. realizando obras como construcción de tanques de almacenamiento de agua potable para abastecer a la ciudad de Toluca, construccion de iglesias, hospitales, caminos, carreteras, comunidades, mercados, tanques para almacenar y distribuir agua potable, perforación de pozos profundo de agua potable, parques industriales, drenajes, proyecto, diseno y construccion plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales, etc.

Ante todos sus logros para ayudar a las comunidades también fue un hombre humilde que le encantaba disfrutar de la familia y de sus nietos y de un buen cafe por las mañanas. También le encantaba ayudar a las personas mas necesitadas y a alentarlos y motivarlos a ser personas de bien. Juan fue un gran hombre, un gran papa que dejó sus valores y sus principios sembrados en sus hijos y nietos para ser buenas personas y amo demasiado a todas las personas que lo rodean.

Le sobreviven su compañera de vida, Teresa García Rodríguez, y sus hijos: Sandra, Trinidad (Donovan), Xóchitl (Rick Martínez), Corazón, Tadeo (Lena Savenkova), Iván Felipe, Crista Gabriela y Paloma. Sus nietos: Valentina, David Xander, Dylan Miguel, Danika Carolina y Rafaela.

Le gustaba Alabar a Dios, vivir y disfrutar la vida que DIOS le dio. Juan se anamoro mucho de su Fe y quizo ensenarsela a toda persona que el le pudiera hablar. él siempre quiso absorber todo conocimiento de su fe, y por eso asistio lo mejor posible en estos ministerios: ACTS, Adoración Nocturna y Grupo de Oración Carismática. El fue un miembro activo de St. Juana de Arco, St Monica, y St Judas Tadeo. Su fe era inquebrantable y llena de sabiduría. Entre sus pasatiempos le encantaba restaurar autos clásicos, y preparar mojitos. Amaba la naturaleza, los animales, como los caballos, y promover la importancia de cuidar el medio ambiente, como ríos limpios y el cuidado de árboles. El le gustaba mucho cuidar su árboles, especialmente el árbol de higo. A la vez, visitar proyectos de construcción era algo que le apasionaba. Juan siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar, a escuchar, a acompañar y a ofrecer una mano a quien lo necesitara. su alegría, su humildad y su amor a su familia y por los demás, fueron un testimonio vivo del amor de Dios.

Juanito vas a ser muy extrañado por todos tus seres queridos y por siempre recordado con mucho amor, lo queremos mucho. siempre será recordado por su calidez, su sonrisa, sus enseñanzas, pero especialmente por su fe, servicio, dedicación, y perseverancia.

La velación se llevará a cabo en Funeraria del Ángel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, el 27 de abril de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m., seguida del rezo del rosario en el mismo lugar, de 7:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m.

La visita en Villa María tendrá lugar en Villa Maria Residence, 719 Augusta St, San Antonio, TX 78215, el 27 de abril de 2026, de 10:00 p.m. a 12:00 a.m. (día siguiente).

La misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará en St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 2829 Ackerman Rd, Kirby, TX 78219, el 28 de abril de 2026, de 10:30 a.m. a 11:30 a.m., seguida del sepelio en Holy Cross Cemetery - Archdiocese of San Antonio, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266, de 1:15 p.m. a 1:30 p.m.

Honorable Engineer Juan Cerda Briseño, a man of faith, courage, and perseverance.

He was born in Anáhuac, Nuevo León, Mexico, on June 6, 1938. He was the son of Jesús Cerda Ortega and Seberiana Briseño Garnica, and the second of three siblings: Alicia Cerda Briseño (deceased) and Jesús Cerda Briseño.

From a young age, he always worked to help others.

He completed his early studies in Rodríguez, Anáhuac, Nuevo León, and attended elementary and secondary school at the boarding school in Durango. Later, he moved to Mexico City to begin his upper secondary and university studies at the National Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated as a Civil Engineer with a specialization in Sanitary Engineering.

Throughout his professional career, he carried out numerous projects for the benefit of society throughout Mexico. His work included projects in metropolitan areas such as Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and Toluca, as well as urban and rural areas in the states of Chihuahua, State of Mexico, Jalisco, Zacatecas, Durango, Coahuila, Sinaloa, Nayarit, San Luis Potosí, Oaxaca, and Aguascalientes, among others. These works included the construction of potable water storage tanks to supply the city of Toluca, churches, hospitals, roads, highways, communities, markets, tanks for storing and distributing drinking water, deep water wells, industrial parks, drainage systems, and the design and construction of wastewater treatment plants.

Despite all of his achievements in helping communities, he remained a humble man who loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren, and enjoying a good cup of coffee in the mornings. He also loved helping those most in need and encouraging and motivating them to become good people. Juan was a great man and a wonderful father who instilled his values and principles in his children and grandchildren so they would become good people. He deeply loved everyone around him.

He is survived by his life companion, Teresa García Rodríguez, and his children: Sandra, Trinidad (Donovan), Xóchitl (Rick Martínez), Corazón, Tadeo (Lena Savenkova), Iván Felipe, Crista Gabriela, and Paloma. His grandchildren: Valentina, David Xander, Dylan Miguel, Danika Carolina, and Rafaela.

He loved praising God and living and enjoying the life that God gave him. Juan fell deeply in love with his faith and wanted to share it with everyone he could speak to. He always wanted to absorb all knowledge of his faith, and for that reason he participated as much as possible in these ministries: ACTS, Nocturnal Adoration, and the Charismatic Prayer Group. He was an active member of St. Joan of Arc, St. Monica, and St. Jude Thaddeus. His faith was unshakable and full of wisdom.

Among his hobbies, he loved restoring classic cars and preparing mojitos. He loved nature and animals, especially horses, and promoted the importance of caring for the environment through clean rivers and the care of trees. He especially enjoyed caring for his trees, particularly the fig tree. At the same time, visiting construction projects was something he was passionate about.

Juan was always willing to help, to listen, to accompany others, and to offer a hand to anyone in need. His joy, humility, love for his family, and love for others were a living testimony of God’s love.

Juanito, you will be greatly missed by all your loved ones and forever remembered with much love. We love you dearly. He will always be remembered for his warmth, his smile, his teachings, and especially for his faith, service, dedication, and perseverance.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Ángel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, on April 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at the same location from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Villa María visitation will take place at Villa Maria Residence, 719 Augusta St, San Antonio, TX 78215, on April 27, 2026, from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (the following day).
