James L. Hedrick

James Lloyd Hedrick, 86, of Junction, formerly of Gonzales joined the Church Triumphant Friday, June 15, 2018. He was born October 23, 1931, in George West, Texas to Benjamin Luther and Martha Agnes Gleason Hedrick. James was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Rae (Toby) Eggling Hedrick, brothers Ernest Raymond, Earl Wayne, and Kennith Harold Hedrick, and brother-in-law Bobby H. Tidwell of Oneonta, Alabama. He attended school in George West and joined the army at the age of 17. He served for four years, then came back to Texas to drive trucks. James never lost his love of being "on the go". He was always ready to travel anywhere. He enjoyed visits with the coffee drinkers at The Rodeo, Dairy Queen and Café on the Square in Gonzales. He is survived by nephew and wife, Ken and Joann Hedrick of Gonzales; a sister, Virginia Hedrick Tidwell, of Oneonta, Alabama; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
