

Joe E. Espinosa, beloved husband and father, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2012, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roque and Cecilia, his twin sister Dolores, brothers Henry, Augustine, Jesse and sister, Elvira. He resided in San Antonio all his life. He was a member of St. Luke’s and St. Dominic’s Catholic Church for many years. Joe was a member of the Medical Corp Unit in the Army during World War II with honorable discharge. He received many distinctive awards while working at Kelly Field with 37 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Trinie, his son, Joe Jr. and his brother Raymond; brother-in-laws, Frank Dominguez (Lupe), Richard Dominguez (Alice), Mario Garcia (Margie); nieces, Alice Espinosa-Perez (Mike), Elvira Ordaz, Virginia and Mary Helen Margana; nephews, Eddie Espinosa (Tina) and Jesse Espinosa (Corrina). He leaves a legacy of love to all those who knew him. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will always be in our hearts and missed more than words can express. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Road. A Committal Service will follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II. The family would like to acknowledge the professionals of VITAS and Morningside Manor for their kind help and support.
