Johnny D. Carranza

Johnny D. Carranza went to be with our Lord on May 6, 21013 at the age of 86. He was born in San Antonio, TX, to parents Jose and Maria Carranza on December 22, 1926. Johnny retired form Kelly Air Force Base after 39 years of service. He was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and Mission San Jose. Johnny was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Antonia M. Carranza. He is survived by his daughters: Bernice Rodriguez, Minnie Quintero, Linda Carranza, son Edward Carranza, grandchildren: Jennifer Gravelle, Denise Rodriguez, Lisa Ortega (Martin), Shawn Thornal, Deanna Rodriguez, great grandchildren; Ashleigh Tucker, Yzekeiel Reyes, Kaleb Villarreal, Ysabelle Reyes, Madison Villarreal: siblings brother Felix Carranza, sister Lillian Cavazos, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at New Century Hospice and to the staff of Mission Trails Hospital and Pecan Valley Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Visitation will be on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm that same evening. A funeral precession will depart the funeral home at 8:30am on Saturday, May 11, 2013 to Holy Name Catholic Church for a 9:00am Mass of Christian Burial. Committal Service will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
