

Retired Deacon Leobardo Longoria, age 96, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. Leobardo was born in Ojo De Agua (Abram, TX) to Leonardo Longoria and Petra Solis. Leobardo served his country and retired from the Air Force after 22 years. After his military retirement he worked for Texas Video System as an Electronic Technician. He has been an active member at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church since 1972 serving in different ministries including as a Permanent Deacon retiring in 2015 due to his health.
Leobardo is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years Paulita Longoria, his parents, brothers Leonel Longoria (Amalia), Jose Leonzo Longoria (Virginia), Ramiro Longoria, Leonardo Longoria Jr., and sisters Ofilia Longoria, Oralia Longoria and Alicia Villarreal (Eliseo). He is survived by his 4 children Ana Longoria, Dalila Martinelli (Ray), Leo Longoria (Kathryn), and Adrian Longoria; his 8 grandchildren, Ricky Martinelli (Christy), Jamie Martinelli, Teresa Martinelli (Zach Chan), Luke Salazar (Krystal Mystic), Joshua Longoria, Jordan Longoria, Nick Longoria, and Logan Longoria; his 3 great grandchildren, Mylo Salazar, Brenya Reynolds, and Liam Chan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Idolina Longoria and numerous nieces and nephews in Texas, California and Florida.
We would like to thank his health care providers at Northgate Health and Rehabilitation Center, and his caregivers, nurses, chaplains, social workers and the patient visitor volunteer from Christus VNA Hospice.
Leo’s words: “I am finally joining my wife after 67 years of a wonderful life. And together with all the Angels and Saints in Heaven we will praise God our Creator for all Eternity.”
A visitation for Leo will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025, starting at 8:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4222 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78227. A rosary service will begin at 8:45 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at San Fernando #2 Cemetery, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237.
