Mary Ann Dickey was born on December 14, 1934 on a farm in Roseville, Ohio to John and Helen Hansen. She is survived by one sister, Julia DeDonatis (Leo) and five step-children: Michael Dickey (Sue), Susan Mastropolo, Madelon Bowling (Ken), Philip Dickey (Anna), and Marianne Salzman (Rob). She is predeceased by her husband, John Dickey, and her brothers Paul, George, and Eddie Hansen. Mary Ann attended Roseville public schools. Upon graduation, she began a 32 year civil service career at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, and attended the University of Dayton. From Dayton, she transferred to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and then to San Antonio, Texas where she and John were married in 1968. Mary Ann remained in San Antonio following her retirement from the civil service. Mary Ann will be joining her husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Monday, January 25, 2016. The family will be receiving guests at 9:45 a.m. at the cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service. Services are under the care of Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Avenue.
