

Pablo M. Gonzalez born February 27, 1930, went to be with his Lord and savior on November 9, 2017. He was born in San Antonio, Texas. With the guidance of his mother, Josefina Martinez, he grew up in San Antonio working and attending school when he was able to. When times became hard for the two, he quit school and worked to help the family. His desire to show his family that an education was important to succeed in the world led him to seek graduation from high school with a diploma. He went on to further his education by attending St. Philip's College where he earned an Associate's degree. He served proudly in the Army Air Core which later became the United States Air Force. He served his Country for over thirty (30) years as a member of the USAF Reserve. He worked at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio. He served his community and his church throughout his life. He helped build the church hall and has served many people meals as a driver for the meals on wheels program. He is a life time member of the American Legion Post in San Antonio.
He married his first love Rebecca Vega Gonzalez (deceased) and had six (6) children. Two of his children, Anthony Gonzalez and Thomas Joseph Gonzalez preceded him in death. His living children include John Michael Gonzalez (Yolanda Gonzalez), Pauline Ann Zamora, Marie Guadalupe Gonzalez and Paul Anthony Gonzalez (Bertha Gonzalez).
He leaves behind many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
We will be gathering for the Vigil and Most Holy Rosary at Roy Akers Funeral Home on Tuesday November 21, 2017. It is located at 515 N. Main Ave. San Antonio, Texas. Services will continue with Holy Mass on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 9AM at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church located at 1214 Stonewall St. San Antonio, Texas. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
