

Mr. Ramon Sanchez retired after thirteen years working for Roy Akers funeral home. With much dedication to his work, was the same dedication he had towards both the Dallas Cowboys football and the San Antonio Spurs basketball team. Not to forget Ramon's enjoyment for gambling.
Above this, Ramon was a two-year Vietnam Veteran dating from 1967 - 1969. He was in the 9th infantry division, and ranked as a 1st Sergeant Sharpshooter.
To cook menudo was one of Mr. Sanchez's favorite hobbies, right along baking delicious cakes. More than this, Ramon truly enjoyed spending time with his family. He could not get enough of being surrounded by the ones he loved.
Ramon is preceded in death by his father Seferino Sanchez, mother Paula Sanchez; siblings Oscar, Seferino Jr., Connie, Esperanza, Arnulfo; father-in-law Manuel Villanueva, and mother-in-law Candelaria Villanueva.
Ramon is survived by Elida Sanchez wife of 53 years of marriage; sister Lisha, brother Jerry Sanchez (Sylvia), Rudy Sanchez, Arturo Sanchez; children Lydia (Tony), Mary Jane (Rudy), Cindy (Adam), Yvonne (Dan), and Irmalinda; grandchildren Mario (Emily), Tony (Marizol), Priscilla (Joel), Samantha, Mark (Samantha), David, Janelle, Rudy, Carrie (Angel); great-grandchildren Mariah, Steven, Izaya, Aubrey, Elliana, Mason, Khloe, Mila, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A visitation for Ramon will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Casa del Rey, 3685 Culebra, San Antonio, TX 78228 with committal service following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
