Kathryn Swearingen, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered rest on October 13, 2011 at the age of 88. She was born in San Angelo, Texas to William and Sally Whitten on April 12, 1923. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee B. Swearingen; infant daughter, Beverly Jean. She is survived by her son, Samuel L. Swearingen; daughter, Barbara Claybrook; grandchildren: Krissy Love Swearingen, Peggy Lee Velasquez, Sarah Lee Ann Stalions and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
