Zulema Fernandez Flores

Zulema Fernandez Flores went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on June 18, 1933 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamp. to Guadalupe Ordonez and Manuel Flores. She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco A. Fernandez Sr. who she was married to for 59 years. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her surviving loving family; sons, John A. Fernandez and wife- Lupita Lopez, Jose G. Fernandez and Francisco A. Fernandez Jr.; daughters, Yolanda Pantoja, Leticia E. Fernandez and husband Rodolfo Carmona. Grandchildren; Leticia J. Fernandez and husband Greg Cadena and Rodolfo A. Carmona (Tony). Zulema loved to play bunco, loteria, dancing, gardened, and loved watching her San Antonio Spurs. As a loving Mother, she taught respect, responsibility and Christian ethics. Zulema had an unwavering faith in God, a member of San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church. Zulema was the heart and grounding force of her family, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and compassionate loving woman.

The visitation will be at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at San Juan De Los Lagos Church, 3231 El Paso St., with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
