Raquel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her greatest joy came from giving and caring for others—making sure that the people she loved were happy, safe, and well cared for before finding her own rest. She had a heart full of love, compassion, and strength, always there to support those in need.
As a homemaker, Raquel cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether it was cooking for family gatherings, sharing stories, or enjoying a dance to her favorite music, she created a warm and loving home where laughter and love flourished. Her vibrant spirit and zest for life were evident in everything she did, especially in her love for music and dancing, which brought joy to her life and every gathering.
Raquel’s legacy is one of kindness, immeasurable selflessness, and unconditional love. She touched the lives of countless people with her caring heart, treating everyone she met like family and will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, contagious laughter and the warmth she brought into every room.
Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Raquel is survived by her beloved husband, Jose Barajas; her sons Kirk Barajas, Chris Barajas, and Jason Barajas (Lorin); her daughters Kathy Lowney (Jeff), Monica Bruskotter (Joseph), and Ramona Capeles (Dan); her grandchildren Jessica, Kristin, Hunter, Lily, Wyatt, Masen, Camden, Rachel, Garin, Nico, Mia, Kadin, and Zarra; her great-grandchildren Hope and Hudson; and her sisters Oralia Carey, Yolanda Perales, and Lucy Morales.
