Rosa L. Rodriguez

Rosa was a loving, hardworking, and faithful woman whose heart of gold touched everyone she met. She had a natural gift for gardening — a true green thumb — and found peace and joy among her flowers and plants. She also enjoyed spending quiet moments fishing and working on word search puzzles, completing thousands over the years.

Rosa worked for Kreske as a cashier and store model, where her warm smile and kind personality left a lasting impression on both customers and coworkers alike.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend. Rosa was loved deeply by her family and all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need made her a blessing in the lives of many. Anyone who crossed her path became a loyal friend, drawn to her strength, warmth, and gentle spirit.

Her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Rosa is survived her children; Graciela Lopez (Sabes Lopez), David Rodriguez (Michaelyn Vinca), Danny Rodriguez (Olga Rodriguez), Imelda Gonzales, Humberto Valdez (Maria Valdez), and Yessenia "Jessy" Orozco (Hector Orozco); she is also survived by various grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Jose L. Gonzalez and Guadalupe Gonzalez; and her daughter Marisela Valdez.

A Celebration of Life for Rosa will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 3:30 PM at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church, 435 Boca Chica Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78520.
