Favorite memory when we were little and me n my sisters use to come to Cali every summer to visit  with our grandparents they always make sure to include my  cousins Darius, marcel and ebony in anything we did . we were so close growing up I really miss that 

Darius , I’m at a loss for words. Words can’t even start to explain your loss, but I can try. What can I say ? I wish I was there for you. I wish I wasn’t drowning in my own pain when we were together. I’m sorry for not being what you needed. I didn’t deserve you. God deserved you. You are an Angel. I know we will meet again in another life. You are the one that got away. I hope God grants me the privilege of being with you again one day Baby. I know we will meet again and I can’t wait for that day to come. I will never forget you. I will never forget your smile. You know I’ve been your biggest admirer since day 1 in high-school my King. Thank you for this lesson. Thank you for this Blessing in disguise. If I know something today is that life is too short. I remember thinking to my self I was going to talk to you again and we would fix everything. I never stopped thinking about you. I never stopped loving you. I never stopped regretting my choices. I’m sorry. I wanted to tell you this and I never had the chance. I now know you know this. I know your in Heaven looking down on me. I know you will always be guiding me through Gods way. Thank you for bringing Faith back in to my life. Thank you for being you. This is not goodbye, until we meet again. In the meantime I will be in the pursuit of happiness. I love you and always will.

Darius,

You always made me laugh. I remember how you would wear your backpack at all times, (even at your desk!) it was truly essential. In fact, I don’t remember seeing you without it. You gave the warmest hugs and anywhere you walked or entered, you always had a light around you. I’ll never forget you friend.

I am a teacher at Mater Dei Catholic who had Darius in Theology classes. He and his brother were both so bright, humble, compassionate and faith-filled. Right after graduation in 2010 I took a large group of students and recent graduates (as leaders) on a service trip to an orphanage in Honduras. In serving others, amongst good friends, doing God's works, Darius was happy. I chose three pictures from that trip to add to these pages of memories. My prayers to all who grieve this beautiful soul; as Darius used to say, 'stay blessed' <3. In honor of someone who had such a strong faith, may we also seek God as we grieve. 

I am so glad that we got to reconnect as adults when I came out to Cali. I remember the summers we spent as kids very fondly and am grateful for our Grandpa for bringing us together in such fun ways. From your baseball games to amusement parks, we always had a great time and I am proud to be your family member. Wishing peace and healing to everyone out West.

I loved when grandpa would take me out to your games when we were younger, I always thought it was so much fun to watch my cousins play sports. 
Anytime you would come over to the house your smile would brighten up the room. 
Although our conversations were short, they were always heartfelt! 
I am so blessed to have you as my cousin and you are forever in my heart. 
I miss you and I love you cousin! 

I pray that during this time our family will grow closer together. I pray that our family will be in unity and not take any moments for granted in Jesus name Amen.
