

Bernard Wilmont Williams, age 68, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, May 14 at his home in Marietta. Wilmont was a native of Atlanta, where he became an all-state running back and linebacker at Therrell High School. He went on to play college football for the University of Tampa. Wilmont married his wife, Jane, in 1969. Two years later he founded Williamscraft and became a pioneer in the Atlanta real estate industry, developing and building over 2000 homes in metro Atlanta during a 44-year career. His building philosophy was "Designed for Life, Built for a Lifetime." He was also a philanthropist who donated land for parks and supported numerous causes and charities. Wilmont is remembered by family and friends as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend with a wicked sense of humor. He and Jane loved to travel together and spend time with their grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Jane; daughters Stacy Hanley and Chrissy Baker; brothers Earl Nance (wife Rose) and John Williams (wife Nancy); sons-in-law Joe Hanley and Paul Baker; mother-in-law Joyce Nunn; his grandchildren: Colin Hanley, Miles Hanley, Liza Hanley, Hannah Baker and Taylor Baker as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wilmont wanted friends and family to celebrate his life after his passing. Celebration of life services will be held at Peachtree Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 19, 2015.
