Mr. Charles C. Herman 82, of Temple, GA, formerly of Dunwoody died November 29, 2011. He was former owner of Southeastern Dental Laboratory in Atlanta and began a second career in trucking, where he enjoyed driving and the outdoors until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Self Herman, parents, E.J. and Ruby Thurman Herman and his brother and sister, Joyce and Oscar. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Daniel Duke of Huntsville, AL, Kathy and Michael Weathers of Marietta, Patricia and David Sorensen of Temple, grandchildren, Amy and Randy Beasley, Mary and Brad Smelser, Paul Weathers, Marisa Sorensen, Caroline Sorensen, great grandchildren, Karley Harris, Garrett Smelser, Brayden Chandler Beasley and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel Funeral Directors, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. N.E., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
