May 17 at the age of 75.
Born on November 5, 1949, in South Bend, Indiana, David grew up in
Knox, Indiana, where his parents, Edward Herbert Dolezal and Geraldine Ann Kistler Dolezal,
owned and operated Ed's Auto Parts.
David's educational journey took him to Kemper Military College in Boonville, Missouri, and
later to Valparaiso University, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and
earned his Bachelor of Science degree. An accomplished athlete, David participated in many
sports throughout his college years, with football holding a special place in his heart.
Pursuing his passion for healthcare, David earned his doctorate degree from Palmer College of
Chiropractic in 1974. His dedication to the profession was recognized when he was honored by
the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and invited to teach at Palmer College. As a
Gonstead Technique Chiropractor, David achieved the distinction of becoming a designated
Gonstead diplomate, reflecting his expertise and commitment to excellence in his field.
In 1973, David met the love of his life, Cynthia Louise, and together they embarked on a journey
that would define their shared commitment to serving others. Shortly after their marriage, the
couple opened a chiropractic clinic in Norcross, Georgia, where David practiced with dedication
and compassion for 49 years.
David's life was anchored by his deep Christian faith, which guided his approach to servant
leadership and holistic healthcare. He believed in treating not just the body, but the whole person,
bringing comfort and healing to countless patients throughout his career.
When not caring for others, David found joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid sportsman
who spent time fishing, hunting, and playing golf, (he was given opportunities to impactful
friendships as a member of the Atlanta Country Club for 46 years).
Above all, David was a devoted family man. He and his wife Cynthia had two beautiful children,
Julia May (Dolezal) Hise and Davis Edward Dolezal. Additionally, David cherished his three
grandchildren. His love, wisdom, and example will continue to guide and inspire his family for
generations to come.
David's life exemplified service, compassion, and dedication to family and faith. He will be
deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and healing will live on in the hearts
of those he touched.
