Dorothy Jeanette (Jackson) Gorman was born on August 5th, 1932 in Atlanta Georgia. She attended Bass High School and graduated from the University of Georgia. She was married to her loving husband, Milton, for 63 years. She had 4 children – Marsha (Paul) Egbert, Debbie (Danny) Brewer, Vickie (John) Barry and Mark (Donna) Gorman. She had ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one soon to be great-great-grandchild. She lived in Sandy Springs and was very active with many organizations, AARP, Kiwanis, and the Dot Benson Center. She also attended Wieuca Road Baptist Church.
Dorothy moved to Marietta and Woodstock in 2019. She loved her family and was loved by many people. She loved traveling and eating out with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton and daughter, Debbie.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 1:30pm at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
