Jerry, as he is know to everyone, met Carol Nelson at Teaneck High School in Teaneck, New Jersey. Love blossomed, the two became inseparable, and on November 9, 1957, Jerry and Carol became husband and wife at the tender ages of 20 and 19 respectively.
Soon after, their son Jerry was born and three years later, they welcomed their daughter Dawn, into the world. Over the next 8 years the family moved from New Jersey to Delaware, Texas, New Mexico, Kansas (where their third child, Scott, was born), then on to California, and back to Kansas, before settling down in Atlanta on April 1,1969. Jerry and Carol raised their family in their home at 125 Dunhill Court, where they lived for the next 50 years, before moving to Somerby Senior Living in Sandy Springs in June of this year.
Jerry is survived by his wife Carol, their three children, Jerry, Dawn (Mike), and Scott - five grandchildren, Riley, Colin, Andrew, Madeline, Adam, and his two brothers Gene and Richard.
