

Jean Macdonald Edmonds passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Mrs. Edmonds was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Church and loved singing in the choir. She is survived by her daughter, Christine E. Ozburn (Gary), and grandson, Alexander E. Ozburn. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Cecil B. Edmonds. Survivors also include sister Beatrice Ackerman of Miami, FL; sister in law, Dorothy Edmonds Anthony (John) of Lincoln, MO; nieces; Patricia Donhardt of Memphis, TN; Donna Kobles (Randy) of Miami, FL; nephews John Alexander Macdonald (Denise) of Deland, FL; Glen Macdonald (Jackie) of Naples, FL; nephew in law Darrell Lee Edmonds (Dee) of Strong City, KS, She was also predeceased my her sister, Marie Smith and Doris Vice and her brother John Alexander Macdonald, Jr. Jean lived in Miami for many years and worked as a secretary at an aircraft facility, where she met the love of her life, Cecil. She moved to Atlanta after the birth of her grandson where she became an active member of the church and choir. She enjoyed music, gardening and travel. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a chapel service at 11:00 am at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Church, 5918 Spalding Dr., Norcross, GA 30092.
