John "Jack" Mister Wofford

Jack Wofford, age 51, of Johns Creek died January 7, 2014. Active in restaurant management, his career started at age 17 at LaPaz in Sandy Springs. His career continued in the restaurant industry with Roasters Rotisserie; Carmen’s Pizzeria and Jim N Nicks BBQ. Jack was an avid golfer and participated in the Annual Wofford Memorial Golf Tournament each year. A humble and great man, he will be missed by his family as well as co-workers, customers and all that knew him. Jack is survived by his wife Peggy Wofford and his daughter Trixie Wofford, both of Johns Creek. Jack, the youngest of his siblings is survived by his sisters, Jeanne Weinstein of Atlanta, Perrin Rountree of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers J. Brian Wofford, Jeff Wofford both of Jacksonville, FL and Tom Wofford of Portland Oregon. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. Dr. Gil Watson will officiate with burial following the service in Arlington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Wofford Memorial Trust Fund at Jim N Nicks BBQ.
