With hearts full of love and deep sorrow, we share that our beloved Kimberly Carreño Huaman passed away on April 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and light that touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
Kimberly was born in Atlanta, Georgia, at Grady Memorial Hospital on June 9, 2010—a day that would come to reflect the brightness she brought into the world. From the very beginning, she was not just a daughter—she was a radiant soul. Since she was little, she carried something truly special in her heart. She was incredibly kind, loving, and full of gratitude. She lived with a gentle spirit, always choosing happiness and always choosing to make others feel seen, valued, and loved.
Kimberly had a beautiful and joyful personality. She was the kind of person who would walk up to anyone and start a conversation, making them feel instantly comfortable. Her sweetness and warmth drew people to her, and her presence made every space brighter. She didn’t just make friends—she built confidence in others. Many of her peers have shared how Kimberly helped them believe in themselves, how her kindness and encouragement shaped who they are today.
She was deeply creative. Kimberly had a special gift for art—she loved drawing, especially manga, portraits, and the intricate details of eyes and expressions. She pursued her passion with dedication, always striving to improve, even when her work was already beautiful. Her creativity extended into her love for fashion, makeup, and expressing herself through beauty and style.
One of Kimberly’s greatest dreams was to walk a runway—and she made that dream come true. In September 2025, she proudly participated in a fashion show at Macy’s, where she shined with confidence, beauty, and grace. It was a moment her family will forever treasure. Shortly after, she was invited to model again, but due to her hospitalization, she was unable to return to the runway. Still, she had already fulfilled that dream—and she did it beautifully.
Kimberly loved life’s simple but meaningful moments. One of her greatest joys was celebrating her birthday each year at the beach with her family. She loved walking along the shore, collecting seashells one by one, carefully choosing each piece. Later, she would turn those seashells into beautiful handmade creations—decorating boxes and crafting little treasures filled with meaning. Those keepsakes, like the memories she created, will be cherished forever.
She also loved being active and sharing moments with her family. Inspired by her parents, Kimberly once decided to start playing soccer, embracing the same passion for the sport that filled her home. As a family, they enjoyed watching games together — especially FC Barcelona, Atlanta United, and the Atlanta Braves. Kimberly loved going to the stadiums, feeling the energy of the crowd, and being part of those special experiences.
At home, she brought joy in the simplest ways. She loved dancing—often in front of the TV, laughing and moving to the music alongside her little brother Joseph. Those moments of pure happiness and innocence will forever live in the hearts of her family.
More than anything, Kimberly loved her family. She had a special way of bringing everyone together. She was always the one capturing moments, planning activities, and filling every space with laughter and connection. She adored her siblings—Janelle, Junior, Julian, and especially her little brother Joseph—as well as her cousins. When Kimberly was present, the family felt complete.
She accepted everyone with love and without judgment. She treated every person the same — with kindness, humility, and respect. Despite her beauty, her talents, and the light she carried, she remained humble, always putting others before herself.
Kimberly’s life, though far too short, was deeply meaningful. She leaves behind a legacy of love, unity, creativity, and kindness that will live on in every life she touched.
Services to celebrate Kimberly’s life will be held at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328 with a viewing on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and a funeral service taking place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00AM, followed by interment at Arlington Memorial Park.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Kimberly are invited to come together to honor, remember, and celebrate her beautiful life.
A Message of Faith and Hope:
Though our hearts are broken, we hold on to God’s promise that Kimberly is now in His presence—whole, at peace, and surrounded by eternal love. We find comfort in knowing that her light has not gone out; it has simply been lifted to Heaven.
Kimberly was a reflection of God’s love on this earth—through her kindness, her joy, and the way she made others feel. And now, that same light shines even brighter in eternity.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
Today, Heaven celebrates the arrival of a beautiful soul.
And though we grieve deeply, we are forever grateful that God chose us to be her family.
We will carry her love in our hearts until the day we see her again.
