

She was born on June 28, 1927, the child of Ruth and Edgar Henning. She was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and graduated in 1949.
Lois then became a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. In 1954, she was introduced to Harlan L. Kroeger on a blind date in New York City. They married in 1955 and he was the love of her life.
Harlan and Lois lived in Washington, D.C. and Gallatin, Tennessee before moving to Dunwoody, GA in 1969. She was a long time member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church where she was a Stephen Minister and member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class.
She spent many years as a Volunteer at the Atlanta History Center and was a member of the Dunwoody Women’s Club, the Bibliophistic Book Club, and the Swinging Saints Entertainment Group along with many other organizations. Lois and Harlan organized and led the initial Dunwoody Fourth of July Parade in 1976.
Lois loved spending time with her family and friends and especially being with her grandsons. She also enjoyed art, travel, her church, tap dancing and line dancing and any fun activity where she could be with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan L. Kroeger and her daughter, Katie Trapani. She is survived by her son, Steve Kroeger (Cindy), her son in law, David Trapani (Lori), and her beloved grandsons, Steven, Stockton, and Benjamin Kroeger and Taylor and Reid Trapani.
The family will have a private service at Dunwoody United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 17. The service will be streamed on the church website, www.dunwoodyumc.org.
