Loraine Edge DeRoy, 64, of Alpharetta, Georgia, formerly of Orange Beach, Alabama died June 18, 2013. She was born August 18, 1948 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Sara Pearson Edge and L. D. Edge, Jr. After obtaining her Undergraduate Degree at Mercer University she received her Master’s Degree from Clemson University. Loraine was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, was a Master Gardner and a member of the P.J.S. Book club. Survivors include her daughters, Julie DeRoy Hicks and Amy DeRoy Seckinger; grandchildren, James Hicks, Charlie Hicks, Max Seckinger and Drew Seckinger and one sister, Patricia Dalton. The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00p.m at Sandy Springs Chapel. Following the visitation, Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, Georgia.
