Roxanne Marjorie Holwill Plichta

Roxanne Marjorie Holwill Plichta, 64, of Cobb County, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. She was born on May 16, 1946 in Farmington, CT to the late Claude Newton Holwill and Martha W. Steinmetz. Mrs. Plichta was a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, the Honorable Roger Charles Plichta, her daughter, Andrea Irene Plichta, her son, Cortland Charles Holwill Plichta, her sister and brother-in-law Katoo and Roger Sherrard, and sister-in-law, Sharon Quigley. Mrs. Plichta was a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, and worked closely with her husband at his law firm. Together, they had a passion for travel that took them to all parts of the world. She was a celebrated member of Cobb County organizations including the Rotary Club, Chattahoochee Plantation Women’s Club and Kennesaw State University. Her kind, gracious heart and strong faith were living proof of God’s love. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 7, 2011, from 5pm to 6:30pm at the Sandy Springs Chapel, Sandy Springs, GA. A funeral service celebrating her life will take place on Monday, May 9 at 11am at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Atlanta, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made in honor of Mrs. Plichta to one of the following organizations: St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Atlanta, GA, or the East Cobb Civitan Club, Marietta, GA.
