Rylee Christadell Anselmo

We are heartbroken to share that Rylee passed away following a sudden and severe asthma attack that led to a devastating anoxic brain injury. At just 27 years old, her life was full of potential, and her compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Rylee was known for her beautiful smile, contagious giggle, warm heart, and wonderfully eccentric spirit. She was sarcastic, daring, and adventurous—and her love for animals ran deep. She found peace and purpose while working with dogs, where she naturally connected with the animals in her care. Rylee’s warmth, empathy, and gentle spirit touched countless lives—both human and canine.

Her favorite place to be was curled up in bed with a dog, and she took great pride in many years of dog-sitting work. She was especially excited to begin a grooming apprenticeship—looking forward to building a future doing what she loved most.

Her bond with the first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that stole her heart captured so much of who Rylee was: spirited, loving, and fiercely devoted to the animals she cared for.

In lieu of flowers, we are collecting donations to honor Rylee’s memory in a way that reflects what she loved most. All contributions will be directed to an animal-related organization meaningful to Rylee and her family. The funds will be given in her name, as a lasting tribute to the compassion she carried into the world every day.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 136 Mt Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
