

Spencer David Long, age 20, of Atlanta, Georgia, was an innocent victim tragically taken from us on Thursday, June 5, 2014. Spencer was born in Dallas, Texas on March 22, 1994. He is survived by his parents Joyce and Michael Long and sister Sydney Long of Sandy Springs, Georgia, paternal grandparents Betty and Chester Long of Marietta, Georgia, maternal grandmother Jean Reynolds Trimble of Dallas, Texas and uncle Mark Damien Trimble of Houston, Texas. Spencer is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert B. Trimble. At the time of his death, Spencer was attending Kennesaw State University. He is a graduate of Eaton Academy in Roswell, Georgia and also attended boarding school in Kents Hill, Maine and The Rectory in Connecticut. Spencer went to Middle School at Mill Springs Academy in Alpharetta, Georgia and attended Heards Ferry Elementary School in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Spencer enjoyed life and loved playing Fantasy football, video games, reading, concerts and movies. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a giving spirit and will always be remembered for his willingness to help a friend. Spencer always looked forward to movies and lunch with his dad, playing paintball with his mom and hanging out in the hot tub with his sister. There will be a Celebration of Life reception for Spencer on June 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chastain Horse Park Clubhouse located at 4371 Powers Ferry Road N.W. 30342. A private inurnment will be held at Arlington Memorial Park. The family has requested contributions in lieu of flowers to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at [email protected]., GA.
