My beautiful mom, Loved when I would take her to her favorite place. I called it her Disneyland the Casino. The smile on her face when she would play was priceless. 🥰

I’m great full to god for all the beautiful memories I had with my beautiful mom.

Hi Grandma Bertha This is your granddaughter Roxanne I may have not known you for a very long . but I'm so glad I got to meet you I wish that I could have spent longer with you. I am happy to have met you on the time of your birthday.  and again when my anunt  your daughter Margaret took me and Ruby your great granddaughter To go visit you with my dad and we got to bring Ruby to go meet you too it was the happiest day of my life and I will cherish it.  to be able to meet you and for you to be able to meet your granddaughter. I will cherish all those moments we had at your birthday and when we went to visit you at your beautiful home. You are such a wonderful woman we love you with all of our hearts. And I know that you are looking down on heaven on us to protect us. Your memory lives in my heart ❤️ thank you so much for meeting us until the day we meet in heaven🕊️ I love you so very much my Beautiful grandma. I can't wait to hug you again love from your Grand and great granddaughter Roxy and Ruby.

I’m so thankful for the time we had with you. You not only raised your own children but helped raise all us grandkids as well. I’ll always be grateful for all you did for me. I am who I am today because of the influence you had on me. I strive to be as strong and independent as you were. You had a heart of gold. I will always cherish the memories I have of you. You shared along side me all my biggest moments in life from high school and college graduation to my wedding day and birth of my two littles. I’ll make sure Ian and Aria know what a beautiful soul you were and how you touched so many lives. You were such a blessing in my life and I will miss you until we meet again. I will always love you Grandma. 

If they were to make a movie or novela out of your life it would be called “The Mexican Super Wonder-women” because that’s what you were! You were the bravest, strongest, and most independent women I’ve ever known! I never realized how many lives you’ve impacted in your lifetime, it’s amazing! I’m so grateful I had you for my grandma! You helped raise me from day 1 out of the hospital when my mom couldn’t be there, you taught my dad how to care for his 1st newborn and ever since then you & I have always had a special bond. I always got special treatment with you , after Andrew I think I was your second favorite grandchild ! ;) 
          Thank you for everything you’ve done for everyone ! Your legacy will carry on forever ! Cant wait to see you again! Xoxo

To my beautiful mother thank you for all the love you not only gave us but the  love you gave to the world. You helped so many people and made their lives a little better.Mom you taught  me how to be a responsible hardworking man you were both mother and father to me and my siblings and you never gave up when things were not so easy for you I have nothing but wonderful memories of you. Thank you for your prayers and the many blessings you gave to me and my kids we will always carry you in our hearts ♥️ and in our thoughts . Mom save a little space for me in heaven  because we will be together again some day. Love you always and forever your son Frank.🙏♥️🥰

My grandma was more than just grandma to me. She was practically my second mom. Since my dad wasn't really in the picture she made sure to help me and my mom and also ensured that I never felt like I only had one parent. She even called herself my dad sometimes. 

When I was still in elementary and middle school, and even for parts of highschool, i would always be at her house after school while my mom worked. If my mom needed to work extra late then I would spend the night. I remember that up until around highschool, every morning we would stop by her house for breakfast and she would usually make two waffles with two eggs on top of them, her specialty. Her home was my home, more so than some of my actual homes. She made sure I was never hungry and that I didn't want for anything. And because of my mom and her I never did. 

Nothing I can say about her is something that hasn't already been said. She was a strong woman that cared for everybody whether it be a family member or someone she just met. She was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her and she touched so many lives that we will never truly know the impact she made on this world. But I know for certain the impact she made on me and she helped shape me into the man I am today. 

I love you with all my heart grandma, and I know you love me with all of yours as well. I can't wait to see you again one day. 

Dear Grandma,

I’m writing this as a letter because I never had a chance to tell you this in person. I hope that somehow you can read this.

I want to tell you that I’m extremely grateful to be your grandson. I heard the stories my mom would tell me that really make me appreciate the strength and resilience that you had. I’m in awe of your strength, and the fact that you could still laugh and be happy. Still able to preserve that beauty in this hard world.

When I saw you last in a few years ago, I couldn’t help but notice how similar you and my mom are. It was really beautiful to see. The way you both laugh is one way I noticed that. 

Being with you, and family made me feel so amazing. I’m so glad I was able to see you when I did. I hope you know the level of appreciation, admiration, and respect I have for you. You may not be here anymore, but your legacy lives on through my mom, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, and myself. Without you and what you have been through none of us would be possible. I love you so much.

I look to the sky and hope you are looking back.

I find peace in knowing that you are looking down and finally get to see the positive impact you had on so many people. 

I can’t help but smile when I hear stories of you and I think to myself “That’s where Nena got her strength and resiliency from.” Stubbornness too, but that isn’t always a bad thing. I will miss the comfort of knowing that if you were nearby, I could do no wrong, and Nena would have to grin and bear it.

The Esquivel bloodline brings with it a deep sense of loyalty and tenacity. You instilled a perseverance into your children that has gotten them through their highest highs and lowest lows.

I’m grateful for your influence on making Nena the woman she is today. Like you, she has the strength of a hundred men. Like you, she knows when to use brute force. Like you, she knows that love conquers all. Like you, she carries herself with style and grace. These are traits you instilled in Margaret and Virgie as well. I hope that your daughters always remember this when the sun rays beam through the clouds. It’s a level of pride that can’t be contained.

You can rest now. This your time to watch over us and know that you were loved by many more people than you could have ever imagined.

My mom always told me to have faith in god. I have all the faith in god today. Thank you mom for for teaching me about our Heavenly Father. Love you all the way to Heaven.  Love your daughter Margaret.

“Querer es Poder”.   That is something that my mom instilled in us and I love by this sentiment.   My mom is a huge part of my identity and who I am as an individual, a wife and a mother.  I treasure those moments I had when I was little and she would humor me and have Tea Parties with me...or when she would sneak my dog Brownie under her poncho when we went out and about.  I love and miss you my beautiful Mama.  Love Nena
