Felix pursued his studies at Ventura Community College following his graduation from Fillmore High School. He then transferred to California State University, Chico, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science degree. In 1977, Felix began working for the City of Ventura where he remained until his retirement. Felix made lifelong friends while working for the City of Ventura and up until the day before he passed, he received messages of support from his many friends.
Forever curious and creative, Felix had numerous interests including photography, crocheting, reading, listening to blues music, and going to the movies. He was especially gifted with a sewing machine and was known for gifting his handmade clothing items and colorful quilts to many lucky family and friends.
A man who valued family, Felix steadfastly showed up to the many events within his large extended family. It was often joked that he was also the first to leave. It was during these events that the usually quiet Felix would open up and share interesting stories and insights, and those in his presence often left these events having learned something new.
Though Felix was fortunate to have lived a life filled with love, one love stands above the rest: his tan Cocker Spaniel named “Shorty”. Up until the day Shorty passed, he brought much love and joy into Felix’s life and was fondly remembered as a great source of comfort and companionship.
Felix is survived by his siblings, Ted, Victor and Margaret as well as numerous extended family and beloved friends across the United States.
