WWII Veteran US Army - Born Feb 20, 1924 in San Francisco. Passed away peacefully on Aug 21, 2017 at the age of 93. Member of the American Legion, Post No 21 and a Veteran of Foreign Wars. Served in Patton’s Third Army and the occupation of Japan with the 97th Infantry Division. Received the Combat Infantry Badge and a Bronze Star. A member of the Druids and a parishioner of St. Eugene’s Cathedral. Clarence was a Firefighter for the SF Fire Department for 30 years. He was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Nina (2014) and his son David (2015). He is survived by his son Kenny Adams, grandson Kenneth Paul (Kristie) and great-granddaughter Mariah. He loved the outdoors, fishing, football and baseball and was a former boxer in the US Army.
A visitation will take place from 4pm-6pm at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery – 2601 Santa Rosa Ave. Santa Rosa on Wednesday Aug 30 with a Vigil to follow at 6:30pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Eugene’s Cathedral – 2323 Montgomery Dr. on Thursday Aug 31 at 11am, Burial at Santa Rosa Memorial Park with reception to follow. Clarence was well loved and respected by his friends and family and will be dearly missed by all.
